The Place at Gilead is a dream-fulfilled for owners John & Michelle Edwards.  The couple began their love story as high school sweethearts and have been married for more than 30 years.  They have two daughters, Whitney and Wesley, son-in-laws, Daniel and Mark, and three grandchildren, Lindley, Caden, and Jules.  


The property was purchased in 2014.  After renovations and construction, The Place at Gilead opened for it's first wedding and reception in September of 2016.  Since that event, the venue has hosted many weddings, receptions, birthdays, corporate events, holiday parties, bridal and baby showers.

Their mission is to provide you with a venue for a variety of events located in Hardin County, Kentucky.   If you are looking for a unique venue for a wedding ceremony, reception, family reunion, birthday party, corporate or business meeting, this is "The Place" for you!

The Cottage
A quaint building with views of the creek and natural landscape.  The Cottage is perfect for meetings, small family gatherings, showers, rehearsal dinners, or housing the bridal party prior to entering the Banquet Hall. The rock fireplace is a focal point of the Cottage.  

The House
A newly remodeled A-frame home, featuring post and beam construction and a circular rock fireplace.  The House is an architectural focal point of The Place at Gilead.  This space is perfect for small events or a great place for the bridal party to prepare for the big day!  The House also has a kitchen for your catering needs.

The Banquet Hall
A barn that has been remodeled into a unique venue.  The rafters and beams remain exposed with chandeliers and lanterns to add an elegant touch.  The building has heat and air conditioning with handicap accessibility.  The Hall would be perfect for family reunions, weddings, receptions and many more events!
